Kia ora, talofa, welcome to my info site created for women of Porirua (NZ) and surrounding areas. No doubt you are here because you are expecting a little miracle sometime soon. As a midwife I offer a range of services to our community:

  1. Early pregnancy clinic appointments while you are in the process of finding an LMC midwife (if I cannot provide full care).

  2. Postnatal midwifery care

  3. Lead Maternity Care (LMC) as your midwife through the full experience (limited places).

  4. Virtual connection as a breastfeeding supporter.

I have been practicing since 2014 and am currently lecturing for student midwives as they discover midwifery too. This commitment to the future of midwifery means I am only available for a small caseload of women at any time. Please enquire, as if I am unable to offer you full care, I will be able to offer fully funded (free) early pregnancy appointments to get you underway with what you need.

Pregnancy, birth, the transition to motherhood, and evolution of family and whānau is a unique life process. I trust in this process that is inherit in nature with the knowledge that this is a natural, exciting, and empowering time for most women. My role is to support that and nourish it as you find your way, growing your connection with your baby. With comprehensive clinical care underlying our approach, this natural process serves us better when we revere it, support it, and enhance it with the many wisdoms that have been passed through our generations, and the knowledge that we continue to collectively grow.

We know that unnecessary interventions can disrupt the natural process, and so refrain from interfering where there is no need. There will always be a few who do show clinical indication of needing help as nature can sometimes take a different route to what we expect. When that help is needed, our goal is to identify it and steer the process, working with you towards the best outcome for you and your baby.

I absolutely enjoy the unique work of midwifery and holding this sacred space where new life develops. As a pregnant wahine, you have started to experience this process with physical and mindful change already taking place within you. I hope you will be able to enjoy and cherish your transition too.

Please browse this website for information and contact me about my availability for any of my midwifery services.
